This Digital photography course is aimed at total beginners who own a dslr – Bridge – Mirror less camera and want to unpack some of its amazing potential.
Participants will learn how to operate their cameras in manual mode, make correct exposures and understand the basics like aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
8hrs with refreshments & lunch.
The course is taken by Peter who has over 35yrs experience has a professional photographer in all fields of photography.

Our beginners photography courses takes place in the stunning grounds and ruins of a 14th Century Cistercian Abbey situated on the banks of the River Calder in the beautiful countryside of the Ribble Valley.
This course is aimed for people new to photography or who find that they never move away from their camera’s AUTO feature.
9.00am – The course will start with refreshments in the The Newman Room followed by a short briefing, detailed lesson plan will be provided for you to keep and also allow you to make theory notes over the day.
11.00am – A practical look and a chance for you to look over your camera settings, we will be on hand to help and answer any questions.
11.30am – We will move outside into the grounds of the Abbey, and again we will be on hand to help you to put into use what we have discussed in the morning session.
12.30pm – Short break for lunch and a chat. (Soup, Sandwiches provided)
1.00pm – Back out around the grounds of the Abbey, we will be out with you again moving around giving you 1 on 1 help and advice.
3.00pm – Back into the Newman Room where refreshments will be provided and to discuss and look over your photographs, we will also briefly go over how we process our images to get the best out of them.
**We will have full instant 9 x 6 print facilities available.
